Dr. Ashraf Abdou is a Lecturer in Arabic and Graduate Arabic Coordinator at the University of Oxford, specializing in Arabic linguistics, corpus linguistics, and language pedagogy. He holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Manchester, as well as master's degrees in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL) from the American University in Cairo and in Linguistics from Cairo University.
With over two decades of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Abdou has taught at leading institutions, including the American University in Cairo, Colgate University, and Middlebury College. His research focuses on the applications of corpus linguistics in Arabic language pedagogy, Arabic lexicography, and Arabic syntax.
Dr. Abdou has played a pivotal role in curriculum development and program coordination and has served as a referee for major academic publishers. His work bridges linguistic research and practical language teaching.
Ashraf Salah El Din Ibrahim is an expert in digital transformation, innovation, and information security. He is the President of High Tech Vision for Consulting, Training, and Information Systems and an expert for organizations like the United nations office for drugs and crime - Vienna - UNODC. He is also a lecturer at RITI (Regional Information Technology Institute) , Cairo University, and a certified trainer with ATO, CIEH, and HDI USA. A key highlight is that he is a keynote speaker and lecturer for AI in different international and regional conferences.
His key achievements include pioneering Arabic-language AI training programs for diverse audiences and serving on the Federation of Egyptian Industries board, advising on skills development. Mohamed El Nagdy is a seasoned teacher educator and STEM education expert working across a variety of local and international research programs in Egypt and the United States in both the precollege and university settings for over 25 years. El Nagdi is a member of the advisory board of Global Extended Learning and Youth Development Association (GELYDA). He has extensive experience in STEM curriculum development, organizing teacher professional development and research opportunities, as well as coordinating and assisting in several research projects like ENGRTEAMS at the University of Minnesota, Cargill funded STEM project, the Interdisciplinary Centennial Lab for Innovation and Technology in Education (ICLITE) at AUC, Evaluation of the USAID Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education and System Strengthening Activity Egypt (STESSA). He is a founding member of the STEAM Track of the Professional Educator Diploma (PED) at AUC, and an expert in STEM schools in Egypt and the Arab World.
